Who can participate
The Matchmaking event within the European Cluster Conference 2022 aims to bring together cluster organisations, business network organisations, companies, scaling-up support organisations and investors from the EU (and non-EU COSME), countries of the European Economic Area (EEA) and countries of the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP).
- Cluster and business network organisations - cluster and business network organisation must be registered in the European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP) (www.clustercollaboration.eu) (or have requested to be registered until one week prior to the event) with a complete profile (a link to the complete cluster profile of each registered applicant on the ECCP should be provided through the application form or a screenshot of a request to be registered). The cluster or business network organisation must be engaged in providing or channelling cluster or network support services to SMEs and certify that it meets the description of 'innovation clusters' in Annex I of the "EU Framework for State Aid for Research, Development, and Innovation";
- Companies;
- Scaling-up support organisations[1] or
- Investors.
[1] Scaling-up support organisations include technology centres, research institutes, fab labs, (digital) innovation hubs, creative hubs, resource-efficiency service providers, incubators and accelerators. They comprise any public or private organisations that is providing access to the testing and validation of technologies and concepts, market intelligence as well as business incubation and acceleration support services in relation to the uptake of advanced technology, digitalisation, new business models, low-carbon and resource-efficient solutions, creativity and design and skills upgrading.

All applicants should register by using their corporate e-mail. In the absence of a corporate e-mail, the organisers reserve the right to accept applicants not using a corporate e-mail, if it can be determined that an applicant does not have a corporate e-mail.
Participants will only be formally registered for the event if the above criteria are met and after the verification by the organisers.
The decision on the selection of applicants will be based on the selection criteria above and information provided in the registration form. Therefore, by filling in the registration form applicants are not automatically accepted to participate in the event.
The organisers reserve the right to ask for additional information to applicants, if necessary for the validation of the selection criteria.
The organisers reserve the right to close the application process once the maximum capacity for participants is reached. Maximum capacity for the matchmaking event is 200 participants.
The participation will be prioritised for eligible organisations that are registered/will participate at the European Cluster Conference.

Accepted participants will be able to start scheduling meetings as of 9 September 2022.
The submission of registration indicates an acceptance of the terms indicated in this Call to Register.

The event is free of charge.
By participating in this event, participants give their consent to the European Commission to make the cluster’s name and their country public. Participants will have the option of not consenting to publish the cluster’s name.
